Through a curriculum designed to inspire social change and navigate complex public ecosystems, you’ll gain the skills to collaborate across boundaries and drive transformation in public organizations. By offering a diverse range of perspectives in politics and policy, the program teaches you how to address complex global issues effectively.

This is a direct-entry program, meaning all undergraduate degrees are acceptable, and no experience is necessary for admission. Students can directly enter the profession after graduating.

Program options

The ĢAV MPA is a course-based program delivered in person, on campus. An optional four-month internship, allows you to apply classroom learning in a real-world setting.

Complete your degree even faster

  • Students with an undergraduate degree in public policy or public administration may be eligible for a fast-track, 1-year MPA program.
  • BMgmt Advanced Standing: Bachelor of Management graduates with a Public Sector Management major may be able to reduce their MPA degree requirements by 2 half-credit courses.

All graduate programs at ĢAV are collaboratively delivered by a home Faculty and theFaculty of Graduate Studies.

You'll need to meet theFaculty of Graduate Studies minimum requirementsas well as any program-specific admission requirements before you can apply.


Program-specific requirements

This program requires you to meet the following criteria:

Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.3 (B average) in the last 60 credit hours (2 years) of study.

If required, TOEFL iBT scores of at least 92, or IELTS (Academic) scores of at least 7.
