What's the difference between graduation and Convocation?

Graduation

³Ņ°ł²¹»å³Ü²¹³Ł¾±“Ē²ŌĢżis the official process of awarding yourĀ academicĀ credential. It means thatĀ youā€™veĀ satisfied all the requirements of your program, and you areĀ eligible to receiveĀ your degree, diploma, or certificateĀ from Ä¢¹½AV.Ā After youĀ apply to graduate, theĀ Registrarā€™s Office reviews your academic record to ensure thatĀ you have met the requirements, andĀ thenĀ Senate officially confers your credential.

Convocation

°ä“Ē²Ō±¹“Ē³¦²¹³Ł¾±“Ē²ŌĢżis the celebration and formal recognition of yourĀ achievements. You must meet the requirements to graduateĀ toĀ participateĀ in Convocation ceremonies.

Each program hasĀ minimumĀ GPA requirements you must meet to be considered for graduation. If your GPA is high enough, you may graduate with distinction.
