DalCard account balances explained
YourĀ DalCardĀ accountĀ containsĀ many types of funds, all with their own uses. This includesĀ rewards from our 5% loyalty programs and those focusedĀ forĀ food or books.
The mostāÆflexibleāÆaccount:Ā money deposited into your Dal Dollars account can be spent anywhere thatĀ ²¹³¦³¦±š±č³Ł²õĢż¶Ł²¹±ō°ä²¹°ł»å.
Dal Dollars will not expire as long as your accountĀ remainsĀ active. Use Dal Dollars for in-person Bookstore purchases.
Most meal plans also includeĀ FoodbucksĀ for dining flexibility. Use your Foodbucks atĀ on-campus food vendors.
FoodbucksāÆexpire at the end of the AprilāÆexam period annually.
Participating vendors offer 5% back on your food purchases paid for with DalĀ Dollars. These funds are deposited every MondayĀ into your 5% Back (Food) account and can be used at any on-campus vendors selling food.
5% Back funds will not expire asĀ long as your accountĀ remainsĀ active.Ā Note that you will not receive 5% back on purchases made withĀ Foodbucks.

°Õ³ó±šĢż offers 5% back on full-priced clothing and giftware purchases paid for with yourĀ DalCard. These funds are deposited every MondayĀ into your 5% Back (Bookstore) account and can be used for your next Bookstore purchase.
5% Back funds will not expire as long as your accountĀ remainsĀ active.
5% Back is not available on textbook purchases.
In this section of your account,Ā you can see your NovaNet barcode, proxĀ number, groupsĀ and more.
You can also reset your account password and change your PIN.
In this section, you can set your PIN, reset your account password, and deactivate your card in the event that it is lost or stolen.

Make a deposit
You canĀ Ā (NetID login required) using Visa or MasterCard. Call the DalCardĀ Office at 902-494-2334 if you'dĀ like to use American Express.
Faculty and staff can have money deposited into theirĀ DalCardĀ accounts through our convenientĀ payroll deduction program.
You can alsoĀ load yourĀ DalCard in personĀ using yourāÆdebit card, credit card, or cash at these convenient locations:

Visit theāÆDalCardĀ Office,Ā locatedĀ ināÆHowe HallāÆ(6230 Coburg Road) to make a deposit in person, and haveĀ all ofĀ yourĀ DalCardĀ andĀ UPassĀ questions answered.
Visit theĀ Student Accounts OfficeĀ on the ground floor of the Henry Hicks Building to make aĀ DalCardĀ deposit. If you have extra scholarship money or payment funds on your student account, you can ask for these funds to beāÆtransferredāÆto yourĀ DalCard.āÆ
