Grades are used toÌýdetermineÌýyour status in your degree program, toÌýallocateÌýawards and otherÌýhonoursÌýand will be considered by graduate schools, prospectiveÌýemployersÌýand others.Ìý

Grade point average (GPA)

Letter grades have a numerical value, called aÌýgrade point value, which is used to calculate your grade point average (GPA).ÌýYour GPA is used toÌýdetermineÌýwhich programs you can apply for, and if you can graduate.

IfÌýyou'reÌýfacing exceptional, unforeseen circumstances that seriouslyÌýimpactÌýyour academic performance, you may be eligible to request aÌýcredit (CR)ÌýorÌýno credit (NCR) gradeÌýinstead of aÌýletterÌýgrade.
