If you’re new to Halifax, it’s important to know where to find and how to contact various emergency services should the need arise.

In the event of an emergency, call 911

For emergencies call 911.

If you're on campus, follow up with Dal Security as they can assist emergency services with coming to your aid.

On campus, dial 4019 on any telephone, including pay phones or  (902) 494-4109 on your cell phone to reachDalSecurityimmediately.

Emergency Health Services (EHS)

Emergency Health Services is a division of the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellnessthat provides ambulance services within the province. It's important to know there is a charge for ambulance services. See the to learn more.
