Meal plans

Residence meal plans ensure our students have access to delicious and nutritious food options, with the flexibility to meet their schedules.

Halifax campus

Traditional meal plans

Residents living in one of our traditional residences on campus are required to have a meal plan in order to ensure consistent access to nutritious food options in our dining halls.

This Freedom plan allows access anytime to the dining halls without limitations on numbers of meals. The plan also includes Foodbucks to use at other on-campus food locations.

All traditional residences, with the exception of LeMarchant Place, require the Freedom plan. Students living in LeMarchant Place also have the choice of two block plans – since suites include kitchen facilities.

Non-traditional meal plans

Meal plans are not mandatory for residents living in Glengary Apartments and Grad House as they offer more apartment style independent living. However, meal plans are still available to these residents should they choose to add one to their residence fees.

What are your options?

If you’re staying in a traditional residence, the continuous dining meal plan is mandatory. If you’re staying in a non-traditional residence (such as mature and graduate student housing), the meal plan is optional.
