The Department offers a Math Workshop that is designed to ensure that new students have the mathematical tools needed for the Master’s courses. It covers topics such as single and multi-variable calculus; linear algebra; unconstrained, constrained and dynamic optimization. No registration is required but all incoming graduate students are expected to attend.Â
Graduate students can register online usually beginning sometime in March at and must also register for #REGN 9999, section 1. The CRNs for 2026-27 academic year are CRN 13982 (¹ó²¹±ô±ô),Ìý23851 (Winter) and TBA (Summer). CRNs can be found on the academic timetable. Students will select specific courses after arrival on campus and in consultation with the graduate coordinator.
The Department offers funding in the form of scholarships, teaching assistantships, and research assistantships. All those who apply by January 31 are automatically considered for funding.
The Faculty of Graduate Studies manages several scholarship competitions throughout the year for both current and prospective students.
