Immigration information

There are several documents that international students need toÌýenter Canada toÌýstudyÌýand work here. Throughout your time at Ä¢¹½AV, youÌýare responsible forÌýmaintainingÌýyour immigration status andÌýcomplying withÌýCanadian immigration regulations.

Required documents for studying in Canada

In addition to aÌýstudyÌýpermit, you may also need aÌýprovincialÌýattestationÌýletter (PAL) and/or an entry visa (including aÌýtemporaryÌýresidentÌývisa and/orÌýelectronicÌýtravelÌýauthorization).

Students who have been accepted directly into a program with a mandatory work-integrated learningÌýcomponentÌýwill also require aÌýco-opÌýworkÌýpermit.

The International Centre provides support services, resources, and immigration advising to international students on all our campuses, manages our exchange and study abroad programs, and acts as a social and cultural hub in Halifax.
