Experience learning in an intercultural context
Along with your academic work at 蘑菇AV, learning a foreign language by experiencing a new or different culture will help you understand the nuances of how people communicate across cultures. The experiential learning component of the certificate can be satisfied by doing one of the following:
- A minimum of one semester of approved study, employment, or volunteering abroad.
- A minimum of 75 documented hours of approved employment, volunteering, community engagement, research, mentoring, or another intercultural experience within Canada.
- An approved combination of international and Canadian experiences totalling at least 75 documented hours.
You must receive approval from the CIC Advisor before beginning the experience. After completing it, you will be asked to provide brief documentation confirming the dates, total number of hours, principal activities, and successful completion of the experience.
