Co‑op Work Terms

As a Bachelor of Commerce Co-op student you have two key resources for your co-op work terms. Management Career Services (MCS) works with you throughout the process, assisting you in your job search, providing guidance during the work term and supporting your professional development. For more information, consult the .

In addition to MCS, BComm faculty are assigned to provide instruction and grading for the work term report. Work term reports are actually exams that you must pass, in addition to receiving a minimum of satisfactory evaluation from the co-op supervisor, to receive academic credit for the work term. These reports  encourage the development of written skills and allow you to explore the work environment. The process of learning how to prepare, research, write and present a sound report will be extremely useful once you become a business professional. This will also help you gain valuable skills and experience for your advanced level courses.
