Haorui Wu, a Canada Research Chair in Resilience and an assistant professor in Ä¢¹½AV’s School of Social Work, is exploring front-line retail workers' individual-work-family challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic and how that has affected their well-being.

The mental health of older Canadians has suffered significantly over the course of the pandemic, with depressive symptoms actually persisting and worsening over time particularly for those experiencing loneliness, according to a new study by a team of Canadian researchers including Ä¢¹½AV’s Dr. Susan Kirkland.
