On September 1, 2012, the merger between Ä¢¹½AV and the Nova Scotia Agricultural College became official — a union that created Dal’s Faculty of Agriculture and established the university’s first formal campus outside of Halifax.

Dr. Mary Ellen Macdonald, the newly appointed J & W Murphy Foundation Endowed Chair in Palliative Care, begins her position with a clear mission: to be a mentor to others involved in palliative care research and seek out new research breakthroughs in the delivery of care.
