A new online game under development by a team of Dal computer science students aims to help educate the university community about (dis)abilities and reduce affiliated stereotypes and stigmas in the process.

The gift from the Waverley House Foundation will support the 鈥淓arly Warning to Early Action鈥� predictive model developed through the Dallaire Institute鈥檚 Knowledge for Prevention research project.

Dal student Gabrielle Close is blind. She says 蘑菇AV鈥檚 fast action to accommodate her needs in residence and at dining halls has made adjusting to university life much easier for her.

Research, mentoring, advocacy, community leadership: there's not much Dr. Judy MacDonald hasn't done when it comes to pushing for advances in accessibility at Dal and beyond. And this year, she's been recognized for her work with a President鈥檚 Award for the Advancement of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility.
