This fall Rochelle Owen, director of Dal's Office of Sustainability, has received two prominent community awards: the Divert NS Mobius Hall of Fame award and Efficiency Nova Scotia's Bright Business Award for Leadership.

Philip Akin, artistic director of Obsidian Theatre (Canada's leading Black theatre company) is working with Dal's Theatre students to present a boldly original take on Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream." The production runs through December 3 at the 蘑菇AV Arts Centre.

Dal's Gender and Women's Studies program, Human Rights and Equity Services, South House and others on campus are teaming up for 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. The campaign starts on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (November 25) and runs through International Human Rights Day (December 10).
