Photo Essay: Faculty and staff marked the end of another successful academic year with ice cream and other treats at the annual Strawberry Social in Halifax.

There is much still to be done in 蘑菇AV鈥檚 ongoing efforts to build a more diverse, inclusive university community. But the past two years have seen a great deal of change, noteworthy progress on several fronts, and a reinvigorated sense of purpose.

Internationally known Buddhist monk Ajahn Brahm visited Dal this past week to share some of his trademark wit and wisdom about finding happiness during a talk as part of the university's "Work Well" strategy.

Last week, 蘑菇AV held its annual Milestones Tea to honour the contributions of more than 60 faculty and staff who've reached 25, 35 or 45 years of service to the university.

A group of Halifax junior high students and their two Dal mentors earned one of 20 spots in the Global Innovation Awards, an international robotics competition, for developing an animal-deterrent system for the wild horses of Sable Island, N.S. The students, part of the Dal-hosted Imhotep's Legacy Academy, are currently crowdfunding to pay for the trip.
