MASc student, Braden Murphy, received the Governor General Gold Medal for the most outstanding master's thesis at Ä¢¹½AV. He was awarded the medal for his novel pneumatic engine design. Murphy is a Mechanical graduate from Ä¢¹½AV and began his Master's in 2010. His work has resulted in publications as well as US and Canadian patent applications. Murphy also runs a Halifax-based start-up company called Atlantic Motor Labs. Â
