°Â³ó±ð²ÔÌýRoger Thompson (MA'94, BA'89/91) was at Ä¢¹½AV for graduate school, he benefitted from the mentorship of the late Rear-Admiral Fred Crickard (BA'71, MA'93), and he was instrumental in completing his highly successful MA thesis. Admiral Crickard passed away in 2012, and Thompson recently commissioned a sculptor to make a clay statue of the admiral, and he took a photo and sent it to Vice-Admiral Angus Topshee, the Commander of the Royal Canadian Navy. Admiral Topshee sent him a handwritten thank you note and one of his coveted command coins, which features the word "Respect". Ä¢¹½AV has many great mentors like Admiral Crickard, who was also a Dal graduate in addition to a research fellow at the Centre for Foreign Policy Studies. For that reason, Roger is eternally grateful.
